Ujjayant Chakravorty

Ujjayant Chakravorty is a professor of economics at Tufts University and at the Center for International Environment and Resource policy at the Fletcher School. He is a Research Associate at the Toulouse School of Economics and Distinguished Visiting Professor at Renmin University in Beijing. He works on resource and environmental problems in developing countries. His works have been published in the American Economic Review, the Journal of Political Economy and Econometrica. His current research focuses on energy efficiency in rice production in Bangladesh and the role of highways in groundwater depletion in China.
