2018 Placements for Recently-Graduated Pre-Doctoral Fellows

Three Harvard Environmental Economics Program Pre-Doctoral Fellows, who graduated in May 2018, have accepted new positions:

Cuicui Chen will begin a post-doctoral fellowship at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs this fall. She has accepted a faculty appointment at the State University of New York at Albany to begin spring of 2019. The Harvard Kennedy School posted a story on Cuicui’s research here (May 9, 2018).

Todd Gerarden has accepted a position as Assistant Professor at the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, Cornell University, beginning in fall 2018. The Harvard Kennedy School posted a story on Todd’s background and his research here (May 8, 2017).

Janhavi Nilekani has founded a non-governmental organization, Aastar, which she will lead full-time after graduation. Aastar is a philanthropy-research lab focusing on solving social challenges at scale. It will be based in Bangalore, India, and will prioritize maternal health, women’s empowerment, and air pollution.
