Jonathan Borck

Dr. Borck specializes in the application of economics and statistics in the areas of finance, antitrust economics, and energy and environment. His work in finance has included analyzing the performance of mortgages and mortgage-backed securities, evaluating the history of public policy toward homeownership, and designing and critiquing statistical sampling methodologies to detect defects in the mortgage underwriting process. In antitrust economics, he has investigated the impacts of market power on prices and profit in the transportation and health care industries. His work in energy and environment has included the analysis of the value of water, state and federal climate policies, natural gas markets, recycling, and damages from environmental contamination. Dr. Borck has assisted clients in all phases of the litigation process and has supported expert witnesses in their preparation of reports and other testimony. He has taught economics and statistics at the Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard College, and Northeastern University.
