Jing Cao

Jing Cao is an Associate Professor of Economics at the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University, Deputy Director of Climate Governance and Carbon Finance Research Center at Institute for Carbon Neutrality, Tsinghua University, and a long-term collaborator of Harvard-China Project on Energy, Economy and Environment. Her current research focus on carbon pricing policies in China, carbon neutrality transition and related renewable policies and non-CO2 GHG emission control regulations, computable general equilibrium modeling of impacts from Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanisms (CBAM) and climate clubsas well as ESG and firm performance. She is a board member of the Chinese Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (CAERE) and serves as an associate editor for the journal Environment and Development Economics. She has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles in the fields of Energy and Environmental Economics. She has been honored with the 2010 McKinsey China Economics Award and 2005 Gregory Chow Best Paper Award.
