Jacob is interested in applying insights from behavioral economics, industrial organization, and microeconomic theory to the study of environmental, energy, and climate-related issues. Prior to starting his doctoral studies, Jacob worked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the White House Council on Environmental Quality and provided support on land conservation policy to various federal agencies for Booz Allen Hamilton. Jacob obtained a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard College in 2016 and was the recipient of the Harvard Environmental Economics Program’s 2016 Prize for Best Senior Thesis.
