Ph.D. Candidate in Economics
Andres de Loera

Andrés is interested in environmental and natural resource economics applied to the management of global common goods, specifically ocean resources such as fisheries, deep sea metals, and biodiversity. In addition to traditional fisheries economics, he studies the economics underlying the relative lawlessness of the "outlaw ocean" and how the international community could better regulate the high seas. Andrés holds a B.A. in economics from Harvard College and a fishing license from the state of Massachusetts.
