HEEP Releases Two Student Papers

Two winning papers from the Harvard Environmental Economics Program 2012 paper competition will be released as HEEP Discussion Papers:

Eric Lu's paper, "The Impacts of Green Pigovian Taxes on Urban Inequality in China," examines the social impact of environmental taxes in China.

Robyn Meeks' paper, "Water Works: The Economic Impact of Water Infrastructure," explores the various benefits of advancing water collection technology in developing countries.

Each year HEEP awards three prizes to Harvard University students for the best research papers addressing a topic in environmental, energy, or resource economics—one prize each for a senior thesis, master's student paper, and doctoral student paper.
