Patrick Behrer presents his research during a HEEP Workshop

HEEP Pre-Doctoral Fellow Patrick Behrer discusses his research – and his background – in a feature article in the Harvard Gazette here (November 1, 2019). Patrick studies the impact of climate change – specifically, increasing numbers of very hot days – on worker productivity. He focuses on vulnerable workers – without air conditioning – in manufacturing and laboring outdoors. He is collaborating with Jisung Park, a former HEEP Pre-Doctoral Fellow now on the faculty of the University of California at Los Angeles. Patrick’s research is supported by a grant from the Harvard University Climate Change Solutions Fund. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Policy, based at Harvard Kennedy School.
