Bjorn Lomborg, President of the Copenhagen Consensus Center, spoke at Harvard on April 21, 2015. The event, “The Smartest Targets for the World,” was co-sponsored by the Consortium for Energy Policy Research at Harvard, Harvard Environmental Economics Program, and Harvard University Center for the Environment.

Dr. Lomborg presented the findings of the Copenhagen Consensus Center's Post-2015 project on the smartest global targets for the next 15 years. Lomborg and the Copenhagen Consensus Center attempt to quantify the costs and benefits associated with addressing various important problems facing our world today—education, healthcare, jobs, effective government, etc.— in an attempt to identify those problems that would yield the greatest impact and the highest return to society on investment.
