Alberto Pototschnig Speaks at HEEP Seminar

Alberto Pototschnig, Founding Director of the European Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators, spoke at a public seminar at the Harvard Kennedy School on April 14, 2015. The event, “The Integration of the Internal Energy Market in the European Union: Recent Developments and Future Challenges,” was co-sponsored by the Harvard Electricity Policy Group and the Harvard Environmental Economics Program.

Mr. Pototschnig discussed the challenges of energy markets in the EU and the importance of establishing unified goals. He broke the issue into three parts: support for renewable and sustainable energy sources; a competitive internal energy market; and a diversified, secure energy supply.
