 HEEP Pre-Doctoral Fellow alum [Gernot Wagner](/people/gernot-wagner) and co-authors have released a Discussion Paper, "[An Economic Anatomy of Optimal Climate Policy](http://www.belfercenter.org/publication/economic-anatomy-optimal-climate-policy)." The paper incorporates geoengineering into an economic model of climate-change policy and finds that "Expanding the set of available climate policy interventions increases societal welfare."
