#  Making Drinking Water Clean

[Michael Kremer](/people/michael-kremer), a Faculty Fellow of the Harvard Environmental Economics Program, was featured in an article in the [*Harvard Gazette*](http://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2012/04/making-drinking-water-clean/) discussing the importance of clean drinking water. Kremer recently spoke to a packed audience at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study about his research on approaches to delivering chlorinated water in developing countries. Kremer argues that providing clean drinking water would save the lives of many of the 4,000 children who die each day, on average, from diarrhea.
