[Robert N. Stavins](/people/robert-n-stavins), HEEP Director, and [Jeffrey Frankel](/people/jeffrey-frankel), HEEP Faculty Fellow, were quoted in "[The Kyoto Protocol: Hot air](http://www.nature.com/news/the-kyoto-protocol-hot-air-1.11882)" in the journal, *Nature*. Author Quirin Schiermeier revisits the Kyoto Protocol and the events that sparked its creation; the Kyoto Protocol is a pact to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by developed countries. A discussion paper from the Harvard Project on Climate Agreements was referenced in the article, "[Sustainable Cooperation in Global Climate Policy: Specific Formulas and Emission Targets to Build on Copenhagen and Cancun.](http://belfercenter.ksg.harvard.edu/publication/21335)"
