#  Kaneb Prize Winner Publishes Paper on the Economic Impact of Natural Resources

Torben Mideksa, winner of the Christopher P. Kaneb Prize for the Best Paper by a Masters Student for the 2010-2011 academic year, recently published a revised version of his paper, "[The Economic Impact of Natural Resources](http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.jeem.2012.07.005)," in the *Journal of Environmental Economics and Management*. Mideksa examines the importance of natural resource endowment to the success of a nation's economy. The author defends his case by taking an in-depth look at Norway's economy.
