July 26, 2012

Two winning papers from the Harvard Environmental Economics Program 2012 paper competition will be released as HEEP Discussion Papers:

Eric Lu's paper, "[The Impacts of Green Pigovian Taxes on Urban Inequality in China](/file_url/144)," examines the social impact of environmental taxes in China.

Robyn Meeks' paper, "[Water Works: The Economic Impact of Water Infrastructure](/file_url/143)," explores the various benefits of advancing water collection technology in developing countries.

Each year HEEP awards three prizes to Harvard University students for the best research papers addressing a topic in environmental, energy, or resource economics—one prize each for a senior thesis, master's student paper, and doctoral student paper.
