HEEP Pre-Doctoral Fellow [Patrick Behrer](/people/patrick-behrer) discusses his research – and his background – in a feature article in the *Harvard Gazette* [here](https://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2019/11/researcher-analyzes-effects-of-climate-change-on-productivity/) (November 1, 2019). Patrick studies the impact of climate change – specifically, increasing numbers of very hot days – on worker productivity. He focuses on vulnerable workers – without air conditioning – in manufacturing and laboring outdoors. He is collaborating with [Jisung Park](https://luskin.ucla.edu/person/jisung-park), a former HEEP Pre-Doctoral Fellow now on the faculty of the University of California at Los Angeles. Patrick’s research is supported by a grant from the Harvard University Climate Change Solutions Fund. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Policy, based at Harvard Kennedy School.
