The [Harvard Project on Climate Agreements](http://belfercenter.ksg.harvard.edu/project/56/harvard_project_on_climate_agreements.html)—closely affiliated with HEEP— co-hosted an official side-event on energy efficiency at the Twentieth Conference of the Parties (COP-20) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which was held in Lima, Peru, in December 2014. The panel was titled “Implications of the Energy-efficiency Gap for Reducing Greenhouse-gas Emissions” and was co-hosted with the [Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW)](http://www.zew.de/en/) and the [Enel Foundation](http://www.enel.com/en-GB/enel_foundation/index.aspx). The event was based in part on a Harvard-Project [discussion paper](http://belfercenter.ksg.harvard.edu/publication/24749) with the same title.

For more information on Harvard-Project activities at COP-20, see story [here](http://belfercenter.ksg.harvard.edu/publication/24892). For HEEP’s larger energy-efficiency project, supported by the [Alfred P. Sloan Foundation](http://www.sloan.org/), see [here](/energy-efficiency-project).
