The journal *Nature* recently [profiled](http://www.nature.com/news/ipcc-the-climate-chairman-1.13755) [Ottmar Edenhofer](http://www.mcc-berlin.net/en/institute/director.html), focusing on his leadership role within the [Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change](http://www.ipcc.ch/) (IPCC). Robert Stavins, Director of the Harvard Environmental Economics Program, has worked closely with Edenhofer [in the IPCC](http://belfercenter.ksg.harvard.edu/publication/20238/) over the last four years. Edenhofer and Stavins co-hosted a [workshop in Berlin](http://belfercenter.hks.harvard.edu/publication/23163) in May 2013 examining options for the ongoing United Nations climate negotiations.
