Jeffrey Frankel is the James W. Harpel Professor of Capital Formation and Growth at the Harvard Kennedy School. President Clinton appointed him to the Council of Economic Advisers in 1996. His responsibilities as Member included international economics, macroeconomics, and the environment. He left the Council in March 1999.
