HEEP Pre-Doctoral Fellow Presents Paper at POWER Conference

Sabrina Howell, a Pre-Doctoral Fellow of HEEP, presented her job market paper at the 20th Annual POWER Conference, sponsored and hosted by The Energy Institute at Haas Business School, University of California, Berkeley. Her paper, “Financing Constraints as Barriers to Innovation: Evidence from R&D Grants to Energy Startups,” analyzes the impact of government subsidies on the success of energy startups. Howell breaks down the various phases of business funding and offers suggestions on where to invest for the most impact.
